Workshops & Support

Learning as movement. At Equator, we see education as more than transferring knowledge.
It is an invitation to dialogue, to imagination, to engagement.

In our workshops, we start from global challenges, but we always return to the lived reality of young people.
What does climate justice mean in a classroom? How do you talk about children’s rights in a way that truly resonates? What does active citizenship mean in a time of polarisation?

Stories That Connect

We work with carefully developed teaching materials that focus on experience and engagement.
Think of the Children’s Rights Game, methods for citizenship education, or interactive sessions on the SDGs. Young people don’t just work with information, but with their own perspectives, choices, and actions.

Our approach is playful and in-depth at the same time — with space for encounters and critical reflection.

On the Journey Together

Change begins with imagining another world. Education gives that imagination language, space, and direction.”

A place for Global Citizenship

In everything we do, one central question guides us:
How can young people become co-owners of a more just world? Our educational work is our answer to that question — always evolving, always relational, always looking outward and inward.

Our workshops are not an end point. We support teachers, youth workers, and organisations in embedding these themes more deeply in their practice.
This can happen through advice, joint projects, or the creation of tailor-made teaching materials. We think along, share what works, and explore together how education can truly be sustainable.

In Short: What We Offer

  • Workshops at school: interactive sessions on sustainability, inequality, climate action, fair trade, and more.

  • Guest lectures and training in schools or youth organisations, led by enthusiastic educational facilitators.

  • Teaching materials for teachers: ready-to-use lessons, exercises, and methods to integrate the SDGs into classroom practice.

  • Tailor-made programs for schools or organisations that want to work structurally on global citizenship.
