Equator Builds a World of Connection
In 2022, in the middle of the COVID pandemic, Equator vzw was born.
It wasn’t an obvious time to start — a period marked by distance and uncertainty.
But with dedication, small steps, and a strong mission, Equator grew into what it is today: an educational platform that connects young people worldwide through stories, dialogue, and collaboration.
What began with just a few volunteers and a strong belief in change quickly gained recognition from schools, organisations, and partners around the world.
Small Resources, Big Impact
Equator remains deliberately small-scale, with short lines of communication and a big heart.
Thanks to a combination of donations, volunteer work, and our own income, we have already been able to appoint a part-time staff member.
With annual support of €10,000 to €15,000 — from loyal donors and a surprising number of small contributions — we continue to take big steps forward.
